What is a Swig Refresher?

A Swig Refresher is one of Swig's water drinks: a fountain drink with a water base. Swig lists every signature Refresher as "Water +" or "Sparkling Water +" followed by its flavors and any fruit, puree or cream. There's no soda and no energy base in any of the nine.

Still or sparkling is your choice. Swig's ordering menu gives every Refresher, including Create Your Own, a "Refreshers Base" option of Water or Sparkling Water, both at $0, at all 178 stores. Summer Splash is the only signature Refresher that comes with sparkling water by default.

Every Refresher comes in five cup sizes. All five, at the middle-priced store:

Cheapest and lowest-calorie Refreshers

Sandy Cheeks is both the cheapest signature Refresher and the lightest: $3.49 for 32 oz at the middle-priced store, and 0 to 5 calories. It's water, sugar-free peach and fresh lemon.

Fruit Water (25 to 80 calories) and Pretty in Pink (50 to 140) are the next lightest. Six of the nine Refreshers use at least one sugar-free syrup: Sandy Cheeks, Fruit Water, Summer Splash, The Fighter, Strawberry Breeze and Mango Breeze. Creamy Refreshers: Strawberry Breeze and Mango Breeze

Strawberry Breeze and Mango Breeze are built the same way: water, sugar-free coconut and vanilla, a fruit puree, frozen fruit and coconut cream. At the middle-priced store they cost the same at every size and are the priciest Refreshers, at $5.44 for 32 oz. Strawberry Breeze lists 90 to 310 calories and Mango Breeze 110 to 340.

Create Your Own Refresher

A Create Your Own Refresher is water plus whatever you add. It starts at $1.65 for a 12 oz and $2.69 for a 32 oz at the middle-priced store. At 32 oz that's $0.10 less than a plain soda ($2.79). Still or sparkling is free. Flavors, fruit and creams are priced as add-ins; our Swig dirty soda page lists what each type costs.

Are Swig Refreshers caffeine-free? Swig doesn't publish caffeine figures. The nine signature Refreshers list only water or sparkling water plus flavors, fruit, puree or cream, with no soda or energy base.

Can I get a Swig Refresher sparkling? Yes. Swig's menu offers still or sparkling water as the base for no extra charge.

What is the most popular Swig Refresher? Strawberry Breeze. Swig's FAQ lists it with the Texas Tab and Shark Attack as its most popular drinks.
