Swig's Island Time is a dirty soda made with Fresca, passion fruit syrup, fresh orange, mango puree and coconut cream. A 32 oz costs $4.89 at the middle-priced store, and Swig lists it at just 60 to 240 calories.

What's in an Island Time

Swig's online ordering menu lists it as: Fresca + Passion Fruit + Fresh Orange + Mango Puree + Coconut Cream.

In plain words, it's Fresca with passion fruit syrup, fresh orange, mango puree and a layer of coconut cream. Swig's menu doesn't say which Fresca flavor it uses. Coca-Cola calls its Grapefruit Citrus Fresca "the original no sugar, no calorie sparkling beverage" on its Fresca page. A zero-calorie base helps explain why the Island Time's range is lower than creamy drinks built on a regular soda, like the Spring Fling (see calories below).

It dates to spring 2023. Swig introduced it as a new tropical mix on its TikTok account on March 9, 2023. On May 16, 2023, its Instagram post called it "our Newest Drink addition". It's one of 40 Swig dirty sodas.

How the Island Time price adds up

Going from a 32 oz to a 44 oz adds $0.20 at the middle-priced store ($5.09). A Swig drink's price is the cup plus each add-in, and the Island Time has four. At the 49 stores that charge exactly $4.89 for a 32 oz, it breaks down like this:

Both parts of the price vary a little by store: the 32 oz soda cup runs $2.45 to $2.89, and add-ins are $0.40 or $0.45 for syrups and fruit and $0.65 or $0.70 for purees and creams. Swig lists the Island Time at 60 to 240 calories. That's one range for the whole drink across all five sizes; Swig doesn't publish a count for each size, so we don't give one.

For a drink with mango puree and coconut cream, that's low. The Spring Fling, which also has a puree and coconut cream but uses Dr Pepper, is 170 to 610 calories. The Mango Breeze, with mango puree and coconut cream on a water base, is 110 to 340. Swig doesn't break its calories down by ingredient, so we can't say how much each part adds. How to order a lighter Island Time

These are menu facts, not diet advice:

The base is Fresca, at no extra cost. Fresca is the drink's preselected base and costs $0.00. Coca-Cola sells its original Fresca as no sugar and no calories.
The add-ins have no sugar-free versions. The menu has no sugar-free passion fruit, mango puree or coconut cream. Swig's "SF Mango" is a separate sugar-free mango flavor, not the puree.
