Swig Wichita: Menu With Prices, Hours and Location

Swig Wichita is the Maize Road store near 29th and Maize, which Swig's store list names "Maize". It is the only Swig in Wichita, and it has the lowest prices of any Swig in Kansas: a 32 oz Texas Tab is $3.84 here, a dime under the price at the Kansas City-area stores.

Nearest Swig from central Kansas towns

Maize Road is a long way from any other Swig. The next stores are 144 to 145 straight-line miles south, in Edmond and Tulsa, Oklahoma, so we checked 12 Kansas towns, plus Ponca City just over the Oklahoma line, to see which Swig is nearest.

Maize Road is nearest for 12 of the 13. For the ten clear wins, from the Wichita suburbs out to Dodge City, the runner-up is between 58.9 and 133.6 miles farther away. Two towns are near ties: Emporia sits just 2.0 miles closer to Maize Road than to Quivira Crossings in Overland Park, and Ponca City, across the Oklahoma line, is 2.3 miles closer to it than to Edmond. Topeka is the clear exception, 52.4 miles from the Kansas City side and 132.4 from Wichita.

Kansas has five Swigs on the list: this one and four in the Kansas City suburbs. The four Kansas City-area stores, and the four on the Missouri side of that metro, share a higher price list. Against any of them, Maize Road comes out ahead.

Of the 324 prices, 275 are lower in Wichita and 49 match. The gap is $0.10 on 155 of them, $0.04, $0.14 or $0.20 on 40 each. The 49 that match are all 27 Swig Energy prices, 7 hot chocolates, the 5 Water Cup prices, 5 cookie lines, 3 pretzel-bite lines and 2 seasonal treats. The store occupies the north end of the strip center near 29th and Maize, in front of Sam's Club, as Wichita By E.B. described it before the opening. Maize Road follows that week without exception, opening at 8 AM Monday through Friday, 9 AM Saturday and 11 AM Sunday. Swig's holiday hours, when posted, appear on our Swig hours page.

On ordering, Swig's records don't agree, as the Quick answer notes. When the store soft-opened in 2024, Wichita By E.B. reported a drive-through and a counter for ordering inside, but no seating.

How Swig came to Wichita

News of the store broke in April 2024. That month, the Wichita Eagle reported that a Swig with a drive-through would open in early May at the strip center at 29th and Maize, and that the Wichita franchisee called it "the first of six Swigs he's planning to build in the Wichita market in the coming years" (Denise Neil, April 2, 2024). Swig's October 21, 2026 list still shows one Wichita store.

It opened in late May 2024. Wichita By E.B. found it in a public soft opening and reported a grand opening set for Friday, May 31 (May 28, 2024). That October, the Wichita Eagle noted that Swig "added its first Wichita shop in May" (Denise Neil, October 9, 2024).
